Sharon Loper creates expressive work that is informed by her curiosity with the relationship and alliances animals and humans develop within and without their respective emotional worlds. Loper uses geometric forms with her compositions, which add a spacial aspect to the eleven bronze cats.
The almost tangible aura encircling Number Nine, one of eleven bronze cats, demonstrates a passion for excellence and discloses an understanding and sensitivity to her subject. Number Nine is a three-dimensional landscape using negative and positive space giving life to the work.
